I'm a woman who's always conformed to what society expected of her, until she found out about J-fashion.
Subcultures fascinated me from a young age, I had a goth phase in my tweens but it was short lived. I was always jumping from style to style, I've dressed up goth, sk8er, hippie, and so on. In 2006 or 2007 I found out what Cosplay was and consequently also found out about J-fashion, it was as if the answers I've been looking for so long have finally appeared in front of my computer screen and I wanted to devour every word about it. In 2009 I've started a blog about J-fashion, dare I say it was the biggest blog about the subject in Portuguese language back then. Not only I liked writing about J-fashion, specially gyaru, but I also made a huge effort to bring the style into my day to day. It was honestly very fun times showing up at college with a full face of makeup, lashes and circle lenses, and a very questionable wardrobe :D
I was very active with almost daily posts for about 4 years when life responsibilities caught up with me. Not only that but the style I liked most has started "dying" and many magazines were closing down in the early 2010s, it felt like I had nothing else to say or to add or to see. After a failed revamp attempt, I decided to close the blog for good.
After many years I've reconnected with fashion in 2024 and have re-ignited the passion for my self expression. I also missed the blogging community immensily and thought this blog would be a nice way to bring back my joy of writing about what I love and hopefully find some people who are also interested along the way.
Anyways, this blog is supposed to be a collage of things I like, essays about fashion and who knows what else?
